Failure to yield may cause fatal car accidents

Two men sadly have lost their lives in a tragic car crash in Texas. The car crash occurred on a recent Tuesday afternoon. These types of car accidents sometimes result from a driver's negligence, which is grounds for civil litigation in the Lone Star State.

The two-car accident happened at a little before 4:30 p.m. According to authorities, a man, 23, was driving west on a road. However, he reportedly did not yield to traffic while at a stop sign.

The man ended up hitting another man who was driving south along another street. Both men were pronounced deceased at the crash scene. The second man was 61.

The surviving loved ones of the older man may choose to file a wrongful death claim in this situation, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages. Although the younger man who reportedly caused the collision ended up dying in the crash, his estate may still be sued. In addition, any other individual with an ownership interest in the automobile he was driving at the time of the accident may be named in a lawsuit.

Competent proof of negligence is necessary to establish liability in such cases involving fatal car accidents in Texas. Once this is accomplished, claims for monetary damages will be decided. A successfully litigated case may lead to monetary damages that might help with covering burial expenses and other losses tied to the serious accident. In addition, financial damages may be helpful for addressing emotional distress as well as pain and suffering stemming from the car collision.
