The owners of vehicles in Texas may be affected by a couple of recent product recalls. One of these recalls of defective products involves Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The other recall has to do with folding bikes.

Regarding the Harley-Davidson motorcycles, about 175,000 motorcycles are being recalled since their brakes may fail. The recall in the United States covers over 30 models from 2008 to 2011. According to Harley-Davidson, deposits may form on the brakes if motorcycle owners do not change the brake fluid every couple of years. This may cause a particular valve in the brake system to stick. Authorities have received at least 43 complaints regarding the brakes.

As for folding bikes, around 8,400 Brompton bicycles that can be folded are being recalled because the bottom brackets may break when they are being used. As a result, these bicycles pose a fall hazard. So far, authorities have not received any incident reports related to the bicycles.

Sometimes, the manufacturers of products release defective products that end up causing injuries to consumers in Texas. These injuries can quickly take a toll on victims both financially and emotionally. However, they have the right to file product liability claims against the manufacturers, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages. An understanding of what facts must be proved will likely be important to prevail in such a case.
